Who are we?

We are some afghan experts in different media sectors like: script writing, photography, videography, film directing, editing, graphics. Who are evacuated by the French government in 2021.


We want to be a bridge between Afghan refugees who have expertise in Multimedia and Afghan refugees who wish to learn new skills.  


Afghan refugees living in France face significant challenges, including social isolation, language barriers, and limited opportunities for employment. At the same time, many refugees are passionate about Multimedia /filmmaking and have a unique perspective to offer the world. Kophen Films aims to provide a platform for these refugees to showcase their talent and connect with French filmmakers, while also promoting cross-cultural exchange and understanding.

Zuhair was born in 1990 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Zuhair was graduated in 2014 from Kabul University, cinema department.

he was also attended to the La Femis documentary workshop at 2013 in Paris, France. Zuhair made a short documentary on refugee daily life in Paris.

ha also made more than 5 short film and a feature film in Afghanistan during 2012-2018.

he was DOP at more than 10 short film and right now he is working as a filmmaker in Paris, France.

EDRIS SALEHI

He was born in Badghis and graduated from Master’s Degree of Cinema director in "Art and Culture" University and also have DP Skill from Istanbul Film Academy Turkey.

He Produces a lot of short film from his production company and makes around 180 tv ad for Iran and Afghanistan Commercial sector.

Edris got winning awards for best director of photography of Mehrgan International Film Festival in 2014, Best Editor of Mehrgan International Film Festival 2015, Best Film Trailer of Mehrgan International Film Festival 2014, Best DOP of Saba International Film Festival 2015, Best Picture and DP of Sweden International Film Festival 2016.


ahmad imami

Ahmad Imami is a talented Afghan filmmaker known for his work as a producer, director, and cinematographer. Born in 1993 in Balkhab, Afghanistan, he developed a passion for filmmaking during his schooling years. Ahmad studied filmmaking at Kabul University and produced several acclaimed short films. He gained recognition as a co-producer of the documentary « The Midnight Traveler » and showcased his acting skills in popular Afghan TV series. Ahmad also actively promotes women’s involvement in the film industry. His talent and dedication have made him a prominent figure in Afghan cinema, inspiring young filmmakers in the region.

masuod fanayee

Masuod Fanayee was born on May 24, 1990, in Kabul, Afghanistan. He graduated in 2012 from a private institute of Art, specializing in the Cinema department, in Pune, India. From 2007 to 2018, Masuod worked as an actor in the BBC radio program "New Home, New Life" in Kabul.

Following that, he served as a producer at Tolo TV and Ariana TV in Kabul from 2015 to 2021. During this time, Masuod also worked as a subcontractor with the USA embassy in Afghanistan, organizing mobile theater events throughout the country.

Notably, Masuod achieved the distinction of being the first Afghan YouTube owner to receive a YouTube Play Button. His comedic performances as an actor in Kabul garnered him this recognition. Currently, Masuod is based in Paris, France, where he continues to work as an actor and create YouTube videos.

reza frutan

Reza Fortun is a documentary filmmaker and graphic designer. He began his career in 2014 as a graphic designer at Tasweer Media. Seeking to expand his skill set, he received training in filmmaking in Iran and later joined Mashqe Film. In 2020, Reza started working as a documentary filmmaker at Mediothek Afghanistan. Notably, he directed two documentaries titled "August of Terror" and "Travel to Wakhan Badakhshan," showcasing his talent for storytelling and capturing compelling narratives.

Mohammad-Reza Hussaini 

Mohammad-Reza Hussaini started his studies in computer science at Avicenna University in Kabul, Afghanistan. He later shifted his focus to multimedia arts, studying for two years in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme at Rudbecksskolan in Örebro, Sweden, before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cinema Audiovisuelle at Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3 University. Active in the Afghan community in Paris, Mohammad-Reza co-founded the Ensemble production association, aiming to support emerging talent and create impactful visual stories. Alongside his studies, he enjoys amateur photography and writes scripts for documentaries and fiction films, collaborating with French directors and production teams. Mohammad-Reza is passionate about making a mark in the world of cinema.
